Parnaíba - PI Capital do Delta

In today's video, we share images from our trip to the city of Parnaíba - PI. Parnaíba is located in the north of the state of Piauí and, with a population of 150,000, is the second largest city in Piauí. It is considered the Capital of the Delta, as it is at the gateway to the Parnaíba Delta, the only open-sea delta in the Americas and one of the three largest in the world. The city is peaceful and offers many leisure and cultural options. It preserves its history and centuries-old mansions very well. The city experienced its heyday in the 18th and 19th centuries with the trade of dried meat, carnauba wax, and cotton.
