Our Story of Adoption in Three Questions | Roman and dr. Julija Gaiduk | TEDxKlaipėda

We will share our story of facing social stigma about adoption, the fears behind that stigma and the joys of living beyond it. We‘ll talk about three questions that we have been asked most frequently about our life and decisions to adopt. By sharing our life story, we hope to inspire everyone to consider adoption as a way to live a meaningful and exciting life beyond the limits of self and stigma. Roman and Julija Gaiduk have been married for 20 years and have been raising 6 children, 5 of which are adopted. Julija holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, and is a Professor of Psychology at LCC International University (Klaipeda). Roman is a Senior Consultant and Partner at Grand Partners, a leading Leadership Development company in Lithuania. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
