Hello and welcome to the Bourbon Moth Woodworking channel in Spanish! In this video, we'll show you how to finish the wood so it's impossible to ruin. We normally show the furniture we build, but we've never shown how we finish it... until today! First, we check the wood for imperfections and gaps. If we find any holes, like in this case, we fill them with epoxy, which we then sand until smooth. Then we sand the furniture in stages; starting with 120-grit sandpaper and gradually moving up to 220-grit. It's important to do this evenly for optimal results. Then we apply Rubio Monocoat, an easy-to-use oil. We spread it over the wood and work it in with a white Scotch-Brite pad to ensure it penetrates the surface. We let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it off with a clean cloth until no residual oil remains.
