Encrypted DNS Policy and Technical Call, 6th July 2026
The main focus of our call was an update on the latest round of the Nominet DNS Fund with Karl Dyson from the company. The fund has been improved since the first round of grants were awarded. The level of funding has been increased, with options now available for multi-year grants, with awards to individuals in addition to organisations. As always, we had time to review some of the items from the mainly DNS-related news headlines from the last week or so. Topics covered ranged from the use of Claude to review DNS logs to issues caused by over-blocking to protect rights holders - and whether anyone should bear financial responsibility for this.
