Many companies still don't see technology as an investment, and the CIO ends up being a facilitator in translating needs to the C-level executives and how investments will return to the corporation. Still on the subject of dialogue, Daniela explains how to integrate other sectors of the company with technology, and how the CIO will have a centralizing role in showing the motivation behind these decisions and promoting the discourse in the areas. At this point, she points out how all areas now have a common denominator: data. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has had a great impact not only on the corporate world, as it is accessible to everyone. However, our guest and host discuss how AI is very beneficial for companies in data, information, and customer service processes, that there is great automation power, but not every segment can extract value from it. Understanding what opportunity the corporation has from Artificial Intelligence and what its result is, is the role of the CIO, who will be able to explain the real return on this implementation. Some internal structures are also changing, with some roles merging with that of the CIO. This is a trend that should happen more and more, according to the company's ultimate goal. Regarding the changing vision of the CIO, it is now much more strategic, adding value to companies, which requires a change in mindset, as they must now achieve business goals. To become a CIO, developing both soft and hard skills is essential, especially people management, understanding the needs of others (their pain points), and having the power to influence people.
