Turn 2D paper into 3D objects. This fan is part of my "FOLDING FRENZY" lesson that gives my 3rd-5th graders 6 to 8 different small folding projects to turn flat surfaces into dynamic toys. The objectives are: General skill building Envisioning transformation of materials Careful craftsmanship yeilds better results Understanding of, and curiosity about how things are made Inspiration for future student-designed creation FUN! ART CLASS DEMO Heidi How Art Class Demos are shorter videos designed for Art Teachers to get a feel for how to present a lesson or project in the classroom. If you want to use my example you can usually turn down the sound and present all or part of the video for your class while you talk over it. “Art Class Demo” videos are usually associated with a longer “How to Teach” video that covers a multi-lesson unit in more detail, or a “Curriculum” Video that covers a medium or element of art over several years. Most projects are easily adaptable for "Art on a Cart" teachers and TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) classrooms.
