Hey hey! Hi everyone, A slight departure from the channel's usual theme: I'm meeting Jeff in his garden, who's showing us his homemade solar tracker. Combined with two micro-inverters and a storage battery, his 3,000W photovoltaic panels allow him to increase production by over 40% compared to a rooftop installation, and drastically reduce his electricity bill. Jeff gives us a presentation of the tracker's various components: the sensors, the base, the rotating frame, the controller, and the mechanical parts. He then details the production process, the concept of Plug and Play and Off-Grid operation, and gives recommendations on installation and anchoring before discussing budget, savings, consumption, and energy independence, with supporting bills. He's connected his system to his electrical panel in the house, which allows him to feed any excess production back into the grid.
