Ukrainian Drones STRIKE a Russian Airbase Deep Inside Russia — Then THIS Happened...

At 4:34 a.m., 28 Ukrainian FP-1 UAVs launched from a secret site near Kharkiv and flew deep into Russian airspace toward Engels-2 Air Base in the Saratov region — more than 450 miles from the front line. This base is one of Russia’s most important long-range aviation hubs, where Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers are used to launch Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles against Ukraine. But before the drones could reach the target, they had to break through multiple layers of Russian air defense — including S-400 Triumf, Buk-M3, Pantsir-S1, Verba teams, and electronic warfare systems around Engels-2. The attack began with a decoy maneuver that forced the S-400 crew to waste missiles on the most visible targets. Then the remaining FP-1s dropped lower, moved silently through radar confusion, and pushed toward the base. Buk-M3 reacted next, but Ukraine’s drones exploited the radar handover chaos and blinded a key fire-control position at the critical moment. As the final UAVs approached Engels-2, Pantsir-S1 and Verba teams tried to stop them in the last defensive ring. Some drones were destroyed, but several broke through. In the final phase, the FP-1s no longer needed GPS or outside control. Their cameras matched the real terrain with preloaded target data — hangars, taxiways, aircraft parking areas, fuel tanks, and base infrastructure. Then the explosions began.
