They Didn’t Clear the Land… They Built Within It | ATO House

Built on a site rich with existing vegetation and ecological activity, the house is conceived as a layered structure that preserves the ground level as an open, permeable space while elevating the main living areas into the tree canopy. Organized by a minimal system of concrete walls, the design emphasizes flexibility, passive environmental strategies, and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. With features like a planted roof, geothermal energy, and solar systems, the project demonstrates how contemporary architecture can integrate sustainability and coexist harmoniously with the ecosystem it inhabits.
