Vintage Bubblecut Barbie Wig Tutorial

This Vintage Barbie Mannequin head of unknown origin needs a wig. So here I alter a standard cosplay wig to mimic the style of a 1960’s European side part bubble cut Barbie. I have tried to create a hairstyle that suits her face sculpt. Because I suspect she has been sculpted to resemble the face of an American Girl Barbie, or a Fashion Queen Barbie, or more than likely a Bubble cut Barbie. Also she is just a head so a shorter hairstyle suits the fact that she will she placed on a stand rather than an actual full mannequin. The reason I am unsure of her origins is because when searching on google I get lots of conflicting results. Goldsmith Mannequins did make a Barbie and Ken mannequin. The internet tells us that they did that in the 1950’s however I think they might have made those mannequins in the 80’s or 90’s and the confusion stems from the fact they had the retro looks of earlier Mattel products. To add to this confusion MAC cosmetics utilized the sculpt at some point to publicize their Barbie range of makeup. I am not sure if the created their own mannequins, using the Goldsmith sculpt or what? Anyway let me know in the comments if you add some clarity here. This head was damaged when I bought it off ebay, sometime in the early 2000’s. I repaired it after someone treated her very badly. I am pleased to finally had the chance to revive her.
