Beginner’s Guide to Hot Pot at Home

I'm Chinese and I have done hot pot with my dad and brother's families for special occasions and it was always a fun and immersive experience. The secret is most Chinese families don't even make their own broths for hot pot! They use instant packets or plain chicken broth. People see hot pot as a meal where no one really has to cook! But I didn't want to use the instant soup packets because of weird ingredients that we may be allergic to. So I made my own broths - authentic miso soup and a quick, flavorful chicken bone broth.
