In this video, we explore terrace farming in the beautiful north east of india. Shimtang is another name for the Pharung village - located in the state of Manipur, India. On the side of the hill, the villagers have created terraces to grow rice. Join us as we finish harvesting the paddy field for this season. Watch as the villagers carry the sacks of harvested rice back home - uphill, after a day of hard work. We also drop into the nearby town of Ukhrul.
