Hard Coating EPS or Styro-Foam With TC-821 Resin

In last weeks video I used TC-821 translucent Polyurethane resin to make a "skin" like vampire resin bust. I originally ordered this resin from BJB to coat styrofoam. TC-821 is a 1:1 ratio, very hard resin with high strength and a reasonable price!!! In this tutorial I go through the tests I did to make sure this resin would work for some Halloween decorations I am going to carve out of foam and hard coat. For this video I just cut up some scrap foam with a Hot Wire foam knife and grabbed a wig head form to coat with resin. I was actually really impressed with the way the TC-821 coated the foam! I got a really nice finish. In the future I will cut down on the runs by applying less resin. I also used some of the TC-821 to cast up some resin bolt heads from a TC-5110F silicone mold. I then used thickened TC-821 resin to stick the bolts to the coated foam. I pigmented the resin with Ultra Black Pigment.
