Conquering Asahidake - THE TALLEST Mountain on Hokkaidoš„
This was by far the biggest and most mentally demanding climb Iāve ever done. āļøWatch Next: Ā Ā Ā ā¢Ā TheyĀ HeldĀ aĀ FestivalĀ inĀ theĀ Snowš„³Ā Ā With minimal high alpine experience, I set out to climb Mt. Asahidake ā Hokkaidoās highest peak ā and was quickly met with some of the harshest conditions Iāve ever faced: freezing temps, near-gale force winds, and an exposed, icy ridgeline that offered no room for error. One wrong step could mean sliding over cliffs, rocks, and not stopping until the bottom. Falling simply wasnāt an option. Fueled by adrenaline and a lot of fear, the 2+ hour boot pack to the summit pushed me to new limits. We were gifted a short window of blue skies at the top ā just enough time to soak in the insane views before reality kicked back in as it was time to ski down. The descent? Brutal. Wind-loaded, icy, and completely unforgiving ā the worst of the season. But once we dropped lower into the Daisetsuzan plateau, the mountain gave us a break: clear skies, no wind, and some amazingly fluffy powder. Those last turns made every moment worth it. This one was raw, real, and humbling. Thanks for watching ā drop a comment if youāve ever pushed yourself past your comfort zone in the mountains. ā¤ļøSubscribe for future videos: Ā Ā Ā /Ā @blaizekellyĀ Ā šNeed to hire a car in Niseko? https://tr.ee/IEZOUcw37U --------- š Location: Mt.
