AUDREY II is probably something I always dreamed of: noisy, uncontrollable, loud, and small. It is a feedback-based machine including "a unique signal chain with Karplus-Strong synthesis, reverb, filters, and tape delay": it is one of those synths that you can leave there for hours and comes up always with new sounds, and as soon as you touch one of the controllers, unpredictable things happens. Recently, I've been exploring a lot of feedback-related sounds in my live sets, and this looks like a perfect addition to this setup, both as a texture generator and as a "playable" instrument. This is a soundscape I have recorded just after getting it. The effects you hear come only from the onboard delay and reverb: I added some light compression, EQ to trim out loud frequencies, and iZotope'de clipperer (we're talking feedbacks he—, they are LOUD!)
