Is Niterói worth living in? Does Niterói offer jobs, safety, education, and good salaries? In this video, we provide an honest and in-depth analysis of Niterói, the "smiling city." Behind its beauty, we find data that reveals a profound paradox. The question is: is Niterói worth living in? We start with the city's strengths: a financially robust city with a billion-dollar surplus and high revenues. We show how this wealth translates into world-class sanitation infrastructure and a surplus of Basic Health Units (UBS), ensuring excellent primary health care coverage. Safety also stands out, with homicide rates well below the Rio de Janeiro state average. However, the video exposes the city's biggest "Achilles' heel": public education. With IDEB scores below the national average across all stages, the analysis questions the management of a city that invests so heavily and delivers such poor results in such a crucial area. We also address the economy, which, despite having a good number of job openings, offers an average salary only slightly above the national average.
