Mesa Boogie Mark V Diode Repair

One fine day, my Mesa Boogie Mark V decided to give up the ghost. With a bit of a whimper, it soon cut out completely, with no lights on the front and no sound. Interestingly, the power tubes appeared to still be glowing on the back of the amp. There was also the strong smell of electric component failure. It turns out that Mesa has issued a technical bulletin regarding this issue, as the factory diodes appear to have been under-speced for their task in this amp. Join me as I deep dive into my amp and attempt this repair myself. I will quickly learn that there is more to this repair than just swapping diodes out!
