Ossian - Oidhche Mhath Leibh (Goodnight to You)
Another mesmerizing, soul-stirring piece from my favorite Scottish group Ossian. This track is from their 1977 debut album and really showcases their splendid talent. I can feel the old blood awaken within me when the first notes begin to play. I hope you enjoy looking through my eyes at the mountains bordering the eastern edge of Clark County, both in the northern corner and the southern, stretching into Skamania County. I remember driving up a gravel road one winter to see where it lead and discovering an amazing vantage point where I captured the breathtaking images of the heavily forested wilderness and the snow-capped wall of small mountains. While much smaller than some of the more world-renowned peaks in this region, this is still some impressive and rugged country. The shot of the singular wooded peak with the long draw going up to the top (indicating a stream) is probably my most treasured; I always gaze into that photo and imagine going back there and making the journey across the valleys and trekking up to the summit. Thanks for watching and let me know what you think!
