Doctor Who Storm Warning AI trailer: the classic 8th Doctor first ever Big Finish story

Back in 2001 Paul McGann reprised the role of the Doctor in Storm Warning. It was the 8th Doctor's first full cast drama since 1996's TV Movie starting an audio series that continues to this day. Written by Alan Barnes Storm Warning reintroduces the 8th Doctor and his new companion the self titled "Edwardian Adventuress" Charley Pollard in a rollicking Icarus style fable about the perils of new and overwhelmingly powerful technology (irony intended) using a fictionalised version of the doomed British airship the R101 as backdrop. Storm Warning was released by Big Finish Productions in January 2001 and broadcast on BBC Radio 7 in 2005, 2007 and 2008. Alan Barnes became a staple of Big Finish authoring many wonderful stories such as Neverland, The Girl Who Never Was, Brotherhood of the Daleks, Castle of Fear, Heroes of Sontar and Death In Blackpool among many more. He first wrote for the 8th Doctor in Doctor Who Magazine's comic strip between 1996-98 in what became a seminal run of stories. He co-edited Doctor Who Magazine from 1998 to 2000 and then as main editor until 2002 and wrote the BBC's animated Doctor Who story The Infinite Quest in 2007. He currently writes Doctor Who Magazine's comic strip and writes and script edits across various ranges for Big Finish. He has written books on James Bond, Quentin Tarantino, Sherlock Holmes and Hammer Horror. For the first time this trailer was entirely generated on VIDU. Significant development of shots and elements for shots was done in Kling AI, Pixverse, deepai.org, aiease.ai, ezgif and clipchamp. Similar fan trailers for the Doctor Who stories Leviathan and Nightshade were released on this channel in March and September 2025 respectively and the sheer speed of the technology's development in a little over a year is there to see...
