VOCAL ANALYSIS: TOM WAITS (clap hands, Flowers grave, San Diego Serenade)

Tom Waits is a bit of a hero of mine, so i jumped at the chance when somebody said could I do a vocal analysis of him :-D Tom has such a variety of style and characters that it was really hard trying to think of a group of tunes that encapsulate his range. But hopefully, these 3 songs I've chosen will do just that. As always, there is no rehearsing these, its straight in and working it out as i go along, so why not work it out with me :-D Times stamps for songs are: 00:00 - Intro 03:42 - Clap hands 16:09 - Flowers grave 32:20 - San Diego serenade Disclaimer: The aim of these videos is to show you how I try to mimic the tone and style of various singers. Singing in a style that isn't natural to your voice and using certain compressions styles can damage the voice if used long term. I use these sounds and techniques for certain studio performances and for clients who wish to have a certain style and sound on their recordings.
