Tips and sample questions for PhD interview from IIT prof | PhD Admission 2022

In this video, I discuss some tips to help students who are going to sit for PhD interviews. I highlight the thought processes behind the technical questions and the expectations that PhD interviewers have from the students. Through example questions based on the Reynolds number, I discuss some of the ways students may be tested. The most important thing is for students to explain their own thought processes. Even if their final answers may not be completely correct, many a time students are selected on the basis of the way that they try to attack a problem. I also give some examples of questions from solid mechanics.
