I'm sharing my favorite build for the Scholar, a DLC character added to Elden Ring Nightreign. I'm well aware that the so-called "Pot Scholar," which focuses solely on the firepower of thrown pots, is a hot topic these days, but this video shows that the Scholar's strengths and ways to enjoy the game are not limited to that. ★Like the Enforcer, the Scholar can cancel the delays of some combat techniques (such as Halo Scythe) by entering skill mode. This allows you to launch long-range attacks in situations where you normally wouldn't be able to, speeding up boss defeats. ■The difficulty of dodging can be solved by "equipping Quickstep to the starter weapon," and the tendency to lack firepower can be addressed by "equipping relics that increase Endurance/Dexterity and decrease Intelligence/Mystery." This transforms the character into a super fun and powerful character with these features: "Warmth Stone Lv. 3 makes reviving 2 or more gauges easier." "Throwing Daggers can reduce enemy cut rate by up to 20%." "Even without strengthened throwing pots, buying a Fire Pot makes early bosses and Peacekeeper raid events a breeze." "Can scatter support items like Boiled Crabs Lv. 3 to allies (if item propagation is enabled to nearby allies)." ■I removed the Cursed Spirit Summoning Bell and relics that restore FP with stabbing sword and dagger attacks. While I still think these effects are nice to have, I've started prioritizing "Carry a small pouch when deploying." With the extra slot, I can easily farm with a Fire Pot in the early game, and by carrying Starlight Fragment in the late game, I think I'll almost never find myself in a situation where I run out of FP to use Quick Step. ■ "Makes daggers easier to find" worked better than I expected after using it for a while. The scythe allows me to aim for the powerful weapon "Halo Scythe," so I'd like to try that out someday, but for a skilled scholar who enjoys any of the decay, bleeding, or holy-element ranged combat skills (Scorpion Sting, Reduvia, Destiny Blade, Black Blade), a dagger is a great option! ■ "Increases attack power of targeted allies when using a skill" is also strong. According to the God Strategy Wiki, it can buff allies by 1.2x physical attack power and 1.15x elemental attack power for 30 seconds (as long as both the enemy and ally are within range at the same time). ★ Should I use a Fire Pot? : Even if I'm not specializing in pots, I normally use Fire Pots, which can stagger everything from Knights to Treeguards. If I can add Throwing Pot Enhancement to my relics, I will, and if I have space in my pouch, I always buy eight. If I have Fire Pots, I can do the "Peaceful Ones Raid Event" on day one alone if I just want to defeat the Peaceful Ones (I often lose if I try to defeat the remaining bosses afterwards, so I think it's best to retreat immediately after defeating the Peaceful Ones). In fact, I was able to instantly kill the Peaceful Ones on the first day of this Evernight Libra event. ★Is the "Hell Spirit Summoning Bell" strong? : I don't think ringing the bell all the time is strong. Still, if I can bring it with me, I'm happy that it will be useful in defeating Guardian Golems and Stone Miners in the early game. I often throw away Fire Pots after I'm able to buy a lot of them. ■ Relic Effects That Look Strong ・[Scholar] Increases attack power of allies included in the target when using a skill ・[Scholar] Deals damage over time to enemy targets linked with Arts ・[Scholar] Increases stamina/dexterity, decreases intelligence/mystery ・Sets initial combat skill to "Quickstep" ・Equips a "Small Pouch" upon deployment ・Inflicts Bleeding or Chill status effects on weapon upon deployment ●If you encounter a powerful additional effect (additional equipment ability) or talisman that doesn't suit you, carry it to a location where others can easily pick it up, then drop it and pin it (△ + L3). Taking action for others first tends to result in them treating you better.
