106 ANNI: ANGELO E' PIU' LONGEVO DELLA MARCA | 03/07/2023

A3 NEWS Treviso 03/07/2023 - SAN PIETRO DI FELETTO - Having turned 106 yesterday, he is the oldest grandfather in the Marca and the longest-serving artilleryman in Italy. The story of Angelo Peressini, Friulian by birth and Treviso by action. His secret? "Patience." Born in San Daniele del Friuli, Angelo Peressini moved to Rua di San Pietro di Feletto after World War II, where he was hired as an area manager for the company Anonima Elettrica Trevigiana, which later became Enel. Here, together with his wife Maria, who left him after 63 years of marriage, he raised two daughters: Adalisa and Rosella. He had met his wife while dancing. They corresponded briefly, but love had already blossomed. Having joined the military in 1938, Peressini found himself back in the war just when he was thinking of being discharged. He narrowly avoided the conflict against France and the campaign in Africa. Then he was sent to the front in Albania and Greece. He returned home, with the War Cross, only after the conflict was over, when everything had to be rebuilt. Even the hope for a better life. After so many memories, Angelo decides to go for a nap, but not before walking me out the door. - Interviewed ANGELO PERESSINI (Report by Nicola Marcato) - Follow Antenna Tre on digital terrestrial too!
