Welcome to a new episode of Giro l'Italia per te! Today we're in Chieti, a city located in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, with a history dating back to ancient times. Founded by the Romans, Chieti was important during the Roman era, but also boasts a strong medieval tradition. It sits on a hill overlooking the Pescara River valley, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Chieti and Ancona face off on Matchday 20 of the Serie D Group F championship. The Chieti ultras, like many passionate fan groups in Italy, are a fundamental part of the city's football culture. Chieti fans have historically been distinguished by their strong attachment to the team, Chieti Calcio, which, despite not playing in the highest divisions of Italian football, has always enjoyed a very loyal and passionate following. The Ancona ultras are often recognizable for their colorful and vocal style of cheering, with flags, banners, and chants filling the Del Conero stadium.
