Curaçao Museum of the Ka'i Orgel - Kaha di Orgel - Cylinder Piano

The kaha di òrgel or ka'i orgel or cylinder piano is a traditional, handmade musical instrument from the Dutch Caribbean islands of Curaçao, Aruba, and Bonaire. The small but thorough museum on the western side of the island of Curaçao is a fun combination of history and hands-on experiences with an excellent, multilingual docent. After your visit, I bet you'll walk away with some technical knowledge of how the instrument is built as well as historical context. Or if you spaced out during most of the explanations, there might just be a spring in your step from the positive messages of perseverance, sharing knowledge, and perhaps dancing! 👍🏽 The Street Musicians They're known under the name of their ka'i òrgel: El Vencedor (The Winner). 🎨 The Mural Artist Did you see the mural towards the start of the video?
