In this second episode of The Farmer Files , We met Air Marshal (Retd.) Subramanya Sukumar. He is a decorated Indian Air Force veteran who served the nation as a fighter pilot for four decades. In recognition of his exceptional devotion to duty, he was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal by the Hon'ble President of India. Following his retirement, he returned to his ancestral village of Periya Kayappakkam, Tamil Nadu, where he has dedicated himself to natural farming, environmental stewardship, and rural development. Beyond agriculture, he serves as the President of the Government School PTA and actively contributes to the upkeep of the local temple, reflecting his deep commitment to community welfare. From safeguarding the nation's skies to nurturing its soil, Air Marshal Sukumar continues a life of service guided by purpose, responsibility, and social concern.
