ROD TEMPERTON MUSIC DOCUMENTARY | THE INVISIBLE MAN (NEW EDIT)
This is my fan documentary on Rod Temperton, the songwriter behind many of music’s biggest success stories. The video covers Temperton’s meteoric rise from playing funk with 70s soul band 'Heatwave' to laying the foundation for Michael Jackson and George Benson’s solo careers, among many others. After leaving his job as a fish gutter in northern England, the unlikely soul genius went on to write such classics as 'Boogie Nights', 'Always and Forever', 'Give Me the night', ‘Stomp’, 'Yah Mo B There', 'Off the Wall', 'Rock With You', and ‘Thriller’. Despite being considered one of the world’s greatest ever songwriters, the nerdy-looking multi-instrumentalist was known in the music industry as ‘The Invisible Man’ due to preferring to keep a low profile.
