LOCATION: Neemrana - Naghori Road, Near Vrindavan International Public School, Neemrana, Rajasthan 301705 Open - 24 hours Location Link - https://goo.gl/maps/mXSNRdc1Ejdu9Z4H7 Neemar ki Baoli (Neemrana Stepwell) in Hindi, is an ancient and magnificent multi-story structure located within Neemrana. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Neemrana and remains popular with tourists. This stepwell is located close to the Neemrana Palace. It comprises 170 steps, and the structures become smaller as we descend. The Neemrana Stepwell showcases the beauty of ancient architecture, demonstrating the excellence of ancient construction techniques. The Neemrana Stepwell was a nine-story building, each floor measuring approximately 20 feet high. It is cool and moist inside. This stepwell is used for both water and irrigation, and is also an attractive tourist destination, attracting large numbers of tourists. The historic Neemrana Stepwell, which showcases Rajput architecture and the importance of water conservation, will now be included among the monuments of national importance. The Archaeological Survey of India has published a draft gazette notification and invited objections until May 19, 2018. Following this, the stepwell and the surrounding 1.26 hectare area will be declared a monument of national importance. Although thousands of tourists still visit this 335-year-old nine-story stepwell located on Silarpur Road, it had fallen into disrepair due to lack of conservation. Declared a monument, it will be transformed. On Thursday, the ASI posted a notification in public places in Neemrana, seeking public objections. ASI Deputy Superintendent Dr. Gunjan Kumar Srivastava, Assistant Superintendent Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Assistant Archaeologist Dr. Govind Singh Meena, and Surveyor Ravindra Kumar Jangid also visited Neemrana. It is noteworthy that the Rajput community of the tehsil area has been demanding the inclusion of this historic stepwell among the monuments of national importance for many years. Hem Singh Choubara, Tehsil President of the Rajput Sabha, Neemrana, welcomed the government's initiative. The stepwell is not only a unique example of a water conservation structure from the princely era, but also a unique work of art in the Rajput style. Each floor features precious stones, carvings, and artistic windows. Each floor also has rooms. Which were used for relaxing and staying cool in summer. The water of the stepwell was used for drinking and irrigation. The stepwell was constructed in Vikram Samvat 1740 by the then Raja Mansingh of Neemrana. This stepwell appears flat from a distance, but in reality it is 250 feet deep from the ground. There are nine floors built in the descending direction. There are 170 stairs between them. Each floor is connected to each other in such a way that one can come and go from anywhere. Thanks for watching our video.
