In our last update, we talked about moving to direct drive systems and how we have had custom motors built that generate substantially more torque and will be available for purchase which is exciting in about 10 days. Previous post:    • VeFoil by VeConcepts Part 5 DIY Electric H...   In this video, we show some early development of a few new direct drive designs we are creating. On the electrical side of things, we now have an ESC manufacture that will custom build an ESC to our specs. It's waterproof and water cooled, has an on/off switch pre-wired in, its pre-programmed with the power and throttle settings we need, max power limiting to set max cruising speed, along with low power protection speed reduction, and lost signal cutoff. It also comes complete with a BEC installed, and all plugs are attached for simple plug-n-play use. On the propeller side of things, thanks to one of our German backer's hard work and connection with a propeller designer, we now have everything we need to design and create the perfect propeller for an efoil. In fact, this backer is making a custom mold and pouring our prototype propeller in aluminum over the next week! We continue to forge ahead and now have the majority of our parts for the propulsion system in-house for assembly and testing various prototypes.
