One of the places I most wanted to see during this trip to Taipei was the Taipei City Government. It all started when I saw a video... so I decided to experience it for myself. Friendly security guards, open offices, a staff kindergarten, an informative bidding process, shops and restaurants on the basement levels... after walking around, I gained a completely new understanding of "how far the government is from ordinary people."
