Make an old phone ring on modern lines
Toady we open up a classic Western Electric model 500 and adjust the bias spring to make the ringer happy with the lower ringing voltage of modern voip devices, pbx systems, and similar equipment. These newer technologies work fine with modern phones with electronic ringers, but these old electro-mechanical ringers need a little help sometimes to work as they should. Please note: The phone number printed on the dial card is no longer mine, and I don't know if it belongs to anyone. Please resist the urge to try calling it. If you want to get hold of me, I'm always up for a chat, so speak up in the comments and we can go from there. Thanks!
