GVVT West End Festival 30th June 2019

For many years the GVVT West End Festival has been on my ' Must Go to ' list but for one reason or another I never got there. On the 30th June 2019 I finally made it there and what a cracking event it was too. This video starts with a few words from GVVT Chairman Steven Booth and a quick look at some of the vehicles in Bridgeton Garage in almost complete silence. Its not long until the buses start bursting into life. After checks etc the vehicles make their way to the event where the buses operated a clockwise and anticlockwise circular service using all bus stops between Riverside Museum, The Botanic Gardens, Anniesland Cross and Crow Road which gave a great sense of ' The good old days'. Just watching these buses pulling into bus stops brought memories flooding back. All good things come to an end and all the vehicles, and crews head back to Bridgeton for a well earned rest.
