I Couldn't Leave... The Bite Was Just Too Good!

There are days when the water asks nothing from you except to slow down and pay attention. No rush. No schedule. Just the sound of a lure landing, the tide moving across the flats, and the feeling that something good could happen with the very next cast. I launched that morning with no expectations beyond enjoying a few quiet hours before heading home. What I found instead was one of those rare mornings that makes it difficult to turn the key and leave, always wondering if the next cast might somehow be even better than the last. Some fishing trips are measured by the fish you bring home. Others are measured by the memories that stay with you long after the boat is back on the trailer. This was one of those days.
