On September 8, 2009, the Yale University Police Department took a missing person’s report from a roommate of Annie Le, after Annie failed to return home. An investigation began into her disappearance with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Connecticut State Police and the New Haven Police Department. The investigation moved from a missing person investigation into a possible homicide investigation, with the New Haven Police Department taking the lead in the investigation under the direction of Lisa Dadio. The body of Annie Le was discovered on September 13, hidden in a wall. Nine days after Annie was reported missing, New Haven Police arrested Raymond Clark III for her murder.
