Whelen Vortex R4 | Alert, Air Horn, and Hi-Lo | Wilmington, OH

Type: Whelen Vortex R4 Signal: Alert, air horn, and hi-lo Location: 475 S Walnut Street (Wilmington Sewer Distribution) Found out yesterday that Wilmington was going to start including air horn in their tests for hazmat situations, so of course we headed up there to catch a siren. Originally we were going to try the new downtown OA4, but it still wasn't hooked up, so we decided on this 435 HZ just south of downtown. Just like the other 435 we got, it's a clipper! Air horn, similar to hi-lo, seems much louder than alert for some reason. Definitely a cool signal to hear. About 5 minutes after the test, while we were packing up, the Vortex did two three-minute cycles of alert, one after the other. That video will come later! Anyways, enjoy! Clinton County sirens are tested on the first Saturday of each month at noon.
