440年の歴史ある世田谷ボロ市を見に行く

世田谷ボロ市 撮影、齋藤行成 tmp-TV．com 東京メディアプロデュース合同会社 「世田谷のボロ市」は４4０年余り前の安土桃山時代に始まったとされ、明治になってからは古着やボロ布が多く売られるようになったことから「ボロ市」と呼ばれています。 数多くの露店が並び、1日におよそ20万人もの人出で賑わうボロ市は12月（15日・16日）と1月（15日・16日）の年2回、2日間ずつ、代官屋敷を中心にしたボロ市通りで行われます。 ボロ市の始まりは、遠く安土桃山時代まで遡ります。当時関東地方を支配していた小田原城主北条氏政は、天正6年(1578年)世田谷新宿に楽市を開きました。楽市とは市場税を一切免除して自由な行商販売を認められた市です。当時は毎月一の日と六の日に6回開いていたので、六斎市（ろくさいいち）とも呼ばれていました。その後、北条氏は豊臣秀吉に滅ぼされ、徳川家康が江戸に幕府を開き、世田谷城が廃止されると、世田谷新宿が城下町としての存在意義を失い急速に衰えていきました。六斎市は自然消滅して姿を変え、何時のころからか年に1回、年の暮れに開かれる歳の市（市町）になっていきました。明治の世になって新暦が使われてから正月15日に開かれ、やがて12月15日・16日の両日、正月にも15日・16日の両日開かれるようになり現在に至ってます。 【「ボロ市」の名の由来】 戦国時代に楽市として世田谷新宿に開かれた市は、徳川時代になって市町（いちまち）という名のもとに歳の市として開かれていましたが、明治20年代になって古着やボロ布の扱いが主流となっていき、いつしか農機具や正月用品が主だった「歳の市」は、その実態に合わせて「ボロ市」と呼ばれるようになりました。正式な名称となったのは第二次世界大戦後からですが、既に明治の終わり頃には世田谷の「ボロ市」が定着していました。 Boroichi Fair in Setagaya Boroichi Fair where a large number of street stalls line up and bustle with a crowd as much as 2 0 people approximately in a 1 day is the annual 2 time of the 12 moon (15 day for , 1 6 days) and January (15 day for , 1 6 days) and KD.
