Ayutthaya Highway Police, in cooperation with Immigration Police and the Crime Suppression Division, arrested a Thai taxi driver and three Chinese nationals on Asian Highway in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. None of the three had passports. The taxi driver confessed to being hired to transport the Chinese nationals from their accommodation in Bangkok to Ayutthaya for 1,000 baht each, knowing they were illegal immigrants. He also admitted to having done similar jobs over 10 times, including providing accommodation and food. The three Chinese nationals stated they illegally entered Thailand through natural border crossings from Cambodia, with a broker handling their expenses, and were planning to continue their journey to Myanmar.
