Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Dhanannamneni Yashaswini and Riti Sri Held in London Attended by Telangana Sangeeta Nataka Academy Chairperson Prof Alekhya Punjala. Dhannamneni Yashaswini and Riti Sri successfully presented their Bharatanatyam Arangetram at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth, London, marking a proud milestone in their artistic journey. The event was attended by over 500 guests, who wholeheartedly appreciated the sisters’ graceful and captivating performances. Both Yasasvini and Riti Sri have been learning Bharatanatyam for the past ten years and have successfully completed their Diploma in Bharatanatyam this year. The occasion was graced by Prof. Alekhya Punjala, Chairperson of the Telangana State Sangeeta Nataka Academy, UK Member of Parliament Virendra Sharma, OEBL Managing Director Ambika Thamotharan, former Members of the UK Parliament, and several distinguished guests and community leaders from London. Their parents, Dhanannamneni Sampath Krishna and Lavanya, originally from Nallagonda village, Karimnagar district, Telangana, organized the event with great dedication and expressed immense joy and pride in witnessing their daughters’ exceptional performances. The four-hour-long program featured eight dance performances, including Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Saraswathi Kirtanam, Varnam : Swami Naan Undan, Radha Samedha Krishna, and Tillana. Solo items such as Jaya Jaya Durga Kirtanam and Naga Narthanam stood out as the highlights of the evening, leaving the audience deeply impressed. She commended the parents for their encouragement and appreciated Guru Radhini for her dedicated guidance in nurturing and mentoring young artistic talent.
