We have been participating in the Nabanna festival of this village every year for the past 7-8 years. But this time my only companion was my mother — because I was still single then ❤️ I am sharing those memories captured 6 months ago with you in this video. 📍 Travel destination: Kujail Karimpur village in Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat 🏡 Village specialty: • Almost 60% of the houses are made of clay (the entire village was filled with clay houses earlier) • The biggest identity of the village = clay houses • Dargah Sharif ("Astana") — every year, mahfil, light zikir and a huge gathering 🎪 Festival attractions: • Huge fair (sweets, toys, nagardola, cosmetics) • Thousands of people present in the open field • Cooking on a huge stove + organization with voluntary donations • Not just a fair — a religious, social and cultural gathering 💰 Organization cost: ~1 lakh taka just for the meeting to set the date! There are some places where people don't just visit — they want to return again and again.
