Bordeaux Court of Appeal - Dordogne Assize Court (Périgueux) In 2023, the number of victims of sexual violence more than doubled compared to 2016. A bill is being introduced to incorporate the concept of non-consent into the penal code. At the Périgueux Assize Court in the Dordogne region, a young man is accused of raping a young student three times. He denies all the charges and maintains that the young woman consented. The accused faces 20 years in prison. LCP is broadcasting this documentary series, an immersive look at the heart of the French justice system, presented by legal commentator Dominique Verdeilhan.
