Moneda y metal en la antigüedad tardía: el Tesoro de Tomares o del Zaudín cinco años después

June 7, 2022 - Francisca Chaves Tristán, Enrique García Vargas, and Miguel Ángel Respaldiza Galisteo (University of Seville). The Tomares Treasure was discovered on April 27, 2016, during construction work in El Olivar public park in El Zaudín, Tomares (Seville). The collection consisted of 19 Roman-type oil amphorae that had been reused as containers for nummi from the Tetrarchy period. The Tomares Treasure was taken to the Archaeological Museum of Seville, where it was studied by an interdisciplinary research team from the University of Seville. Based on current data, it is estimated that the hoard was buried in the first decades of the 4th century AD, around 312 AD.
