Hey guys... I'm going to share with you a simple way to install the probe on your boat. I recently purchased the GARMIN 7 SV PROBE and found a very practical way to install it. For a long time, I wanted to buy a probe for my fishing trips... and after doing a lot of research, I decided to buy the Garmin 7 SV probe. What sets this probe apart from the Garmin sonar models in the CV series is that it has a side view... providing another way to locate structures and schools of fish. One of the biggest challenges was finding a way to install the Garmin transducer on the boat without damaging the structure of the boat... because theoretically, I would have to drill... and also how I would attach the display. Checking online, there are some supports, but the price is absurd and, besides, it wouldn't be very practical or safe... so I decided to design it myself. On the outside, where the transducer is attached, I fixed a piece of wood that was already made to measure and secured it with stainless steel screws, and for the display, I designed a stainless steel plate, with reinforcement, to support the weight and vibration... Now, it's time to go to sea and enjoy the technology.
