If you're interested in Kupala, I'll tell you briefly and truly what it's all about. From June 18–21, 2026, we'll be holding another large Kupala festival in the Tver region. This is a vibrant Russian outdoor celebration based on the reconstruction of spring and summer Kupala rituals, songs, games, and traditions preserved in ethnographic materials and field expeditions. More than 50 specialists are working on the festival: folklorists, ethnographers, musicians, craftsmen, round dance leaders, artisans, and people who have spent many years studying traditional culture. Therefore, Kupala is a tremendous, living experience through which you can truly connect with genuine Russian tradition. And, frankly, for many, it becomes much more than just a festival. People arrive here tired, anxious, lost, and leave with a sense of life within. Some people feel truly alive for the first time in a long time. Some meet kindred spirits. Some meet their future family. Some begin to sing for the first time. Some feel a connection to their culture and their land for the first time. These few days can truly change a lot within you. On Kupala, there will be huge circle dances around the campfire, singing until the night, gusli, dancing, craft workshops, a fair, evening gatherings, a river, a tent camp, and a very strong atmosphere of community. On June 18th, we have a performance by the band "Otava Yo," and then Kupala itself begins, where there is no longer a division between performers and spectators—everyone becomes part of the event. You can come alone. You can come with your family. You can come with no experience at all and no idea what you're doing. People quickly get involved in the process right there on the spot.
