The river I visited for ayu fishing (tomodori fishing) was the upper reaches of the Itadori River, which flows through Seki City, Gifu Prefecture. The river flooded a lot a few days ago, leaving the moss thin. If you choose the right spot, you should be able to catch a lot of good-sized ayu!
