The snowfall quickly blanketed the route, the rain soaked us completely, and the darkness ultimately forced us to make a difficult decision: to set up an emergency camp high in the mountains. Without cell service, wet, and hearing landslides in the distance, we experienced one of the most intense days of this trek through the Sierra de Ramón.
