1 Week to the Summer HO scale slotcar Race series on Donnybrooke Motorsport Park

Next weds 6-3-2026 is the innaugural race for the Summer Race Series on Donnybrooke Motorsport Park. HO scale slotcar racing at it's finest. We'll be running one class for the night, Autoworld Thunderjet Ultra-G chassis with SCCA Trans-AM or American muscle car bodies. This is designed to be a mid-week evening event with affordable cars and controllers to allow those that haven't raced in years an affordable way back into the hobby, and to have people new to the hobby dip their toe in the water so to speak. Veteran drivers are welcome as well, hopefully to help guide the new guys with pointers and tips so that the hobby can continue, because when those guys are gone, who's going to keep it going? Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided for the evening. There is a small entrant fee for the race of $5 which goes towards covering that provided food & beverage. If you don't have a car or the right body type for the event, I have cars available for use. Controllers to be used are of the old Parma resistor type with no driver aid modifications. Resistor value is up to the driver, but the best to use is either a 35 ohm or a 45 ohm controller depending on how sensitive you like your controller. Electronic controllers with drivers aids are NOT allowed for this series. If you don't have your own controller, I have some extras that can also be borrowed for the event. Doors open @ 5pm, practice until 7pm, then we race. Details are in the end credits on information about the rulebook & schedule, along with the address of the track.
