The Advantages of Stiff Fletchings - Bohning's X3™ Vanes

Bohning distributor Lancaster Archery Supply explains the advantages Bohning's new X3 Vane and its ultra-stiff material. Introduced in 2019, the 1.75" & 2.25" X3 Vanes are made of ultra-stiff material for maximum arrow stabilization and quiet flight, with the same profile as the shield cut X Vane. Bohning recommends the X3 for 3D, indoor spots, Fita/Field, as well as hunting. The 1.75" (44.5mm) X3 Vane measures 0.38" (9.7mm) in height and weighs an average of 4.4 grains (285.1 mg). The 2.25" (57.2mm) X3 Vane measures 0.33" (8.4mm) in height and weighs an average of 5.8 grains (375.8 mg). Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the X3 Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion. Due to the ultra-stiff material, we recommend using an instant glue and/or a fletching jig with high adhesion force such as Bohning's Tower Jig or Multi-Fletcher.
