Bogoroditse Devo (Sergei Rachmaninov) | The Mancunium Consort

Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil, Op. 37, sets an array of Russian Orthodox texts for a cappella choir. His 'Bogoroditse Devo' is the sixth such setting, and it is a work that has become cherished in choral traditions around the world. The piece reflects on the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her role in the birth of Jesus Christ.
