Dr. Mathias Künlen studied human medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and is a neurologist. He also studied computer science at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. The conventional doctor became aware of aura surgery through his wife's chronic back pain and her search for a cure. After his wife's symptoms disappeared overnight, Dr. Künlen decided to train in aura surgery. Today, he trains people in this field himself and founded the IFA Institute for Aura Surgery. He is the author of the standard textbooks on aura surgery in Liechtenstein. He was also able to integrate his years of practice in karate and Kyusho Jitsu and his understanding of energetic control principles into the energetic-informational treatment concept of aura surgery.
