Traveling around Kiribati is not easy...

Join me as I finally get on a flight with Air Kiribati, after having spent quite some effort on the booking which was not possible online at the time I planned my trip. Air Kiribati is the flag carrier of Kiribati. The Republic of Kiribati is an island country in the Central Pacific Region, consisting of several different atolls spread far apart from each other. There are three main island groups. I visited the Gilbert Islands where the main atoll (Tarawa) is located. After a 5-hour change in schedule on short notice, I eventually flew Air Kiribati from Tarawa/Bonriki International Airport (TRW) to Kuria (KUC) and back on a DHC-6-400 Twin Otter (registration T3-AKB). Another part of this video is my stay at the Tabon Te Keekee Eco Lodge in North Tarawa. Note: This trip was recorded in January 2024 and things may have changed since then.
